Jim, probably a three number combination, and with a 100 number dial you'll get 1,000,000 theoretical combination possibilities, though in actual practice it won''t be quite that high a number. Still high enough to eat up some dialing time if you're thinking of trying them all. Safe serial numbers are only significant to their makers and only if they keep records. In most cases a safe tech doesn't need serial numbers anyway. No way of knowing for sure which is the correct left/right or right/left turning sequence unless you can show a clear photo of safe front and dial. Protectall was originally in Syracuse, then was bought by another company, and that company kept the name alive and tacked it onto various designs in a model series. Ken Dunckel |
