Thank you Ken for your insight and instruction. I've read a lot of tips here and on some other websites. I finally did "crack" the Protectall and on the inside of tumbler box cover was the correct #'s. Once I started this project, I realized how little I did know. Finding one or two of the #'s wasn't really difficult...but the 3rd and final,and sequence was almost daunting to the point of throwing my hands up in air..not much hair left to pull out anymore..lol. But after a few days break I would come back and work on it for an hour or so. I am glad this was an older safe,although it did have a couple "safeguards".being a couple features that would lock it for good if the tumbler box had been drilled off from the back. Kudos to you and your brothers for your patience and knowledge in this field. and congrats to Dave for getting his pic on MSN homepage for "Most difficult jobs". Thank you again Ken. Jim |
