Hi, I just decoded my protectall safe today. It was OPEN, ans that is "key" (sorry about the pun). I removed the inner panel on the door, it is a sheet metal piece with 12 screws or so, and with a bright light you can look into the siting hole and see where the decoder wheels line up and read the number off the dial. One interesting thing about mine is that it is 4 turns left, 2 turns right 1 turn left and then right to open, not the 4,3,2,1 sequence that has been talked about in these threads. I even tried (with my numbers) to see if the 4,3,2,1 sequence would work and it failed. The 4,2,1,1 sequence works every time on my safe. I wonder if there was a different mechanism in some of them... |
