Think about it Doug. The safe cost me $70 and I was able to move it myself
with some friends. This is simply an amateur antique restoration project for an
inexpensive antique. If I find an antique chair for $70, I doubt anyone, even
you, would care if I do the refinishing instead of a professional. It is true I am
no safe expert but as a mechanical engineer for 25 years, I have designed
mechanism more intricate and certainly more complex than an old Yale lock
from a Herring, Hall & Marvin safe of about 1912 vintage. It's my challenge, I
own the safe and I just asked for advice.
