John:

Is the handle turned less than 45 degrees? I assume the handle is an "L" shaped handle. Normally they turn 45 degrees to the unlocked position.

Is there a chance to jack up the safe and drop it down on the floor if it's a concrete floor? By jacking up the safe I mean only maybe an inch or inch and half on the opening side only to jar the door abit. This would best be left to a professional rigger if you feel uncomfortable about trying it. If it's on a wood floor obviously don't try it.

When the other locksmith jacked it up did he try to turn the handle when jacked up slightly? Was the leveling of the safe actually checked in all directions?
