Anyway, the lock you have may or may not be broken.

If this is an interior door, the mechanism is far simpler than if it is the front door.

Buy a PAIR of skelton keys, made by Luckyline.

If BOBS Locksmith is still in business, on Pine?. they have or can order this for you.

If neither key works, it is possible the lock has a few key pieces broken inside it. The FLAT part of the key, called the "BIT" is common to separate from the stem.

This can "clog" the lock, preventing operation.

A piece of hobby wire can be used to jossle things around.

If none of this works, bring in a professional locksmith.

BEWARE of phone locksmiths in the phonebook.
