"The best safe" that's like saying "where is the best vacation spot" it depends entirly on what YOU want ... some people hate sandy beaches and others like shopping or skiing etc.

If you need a safe to protect a half dozen expensive oil paintngs, one made to hold jewlery, or collectable sports cards, would be useless, even if the intended contents are all worth the same value.

A safe perfect for storing even hundereds of thousands of dollars of cash would be usless if you need to secure computer data from theft and fire.

$250,000 is perhaps in the mid range price-wise for custom built top quality safes ... you can spend much more than that if you have the money!
