Thanks Scribbler - I'm in Florence, and welcome your assistance. I'd also appreciate any insight you can give me on how or who to get to move this safe? We've bought a new house and I don't have a clue hwo I will get it moved. From reading this board, it sounds like a lot of people have come to "inherit" old safes like this from the previous owner of their home, who left it behind. So I asume that it isn't something that the average moving company is prepared to deal with??? John |
