Margret: Combinations are changed in various ways depending on the type of lock and vintage of the lock. Some require "change keys" and others require a safe tech to disassemble the lock to change the combination. If not done properly it could easily cause a lockout after you place valuables inside the safe which will be a lot more expensive for you than to have a competent safe tech change the combination for you...
