Weis Safe & Lock

Dad just acquired an old safe, and I'd like to know a little more about it. It's marked "Weis Safe & Lock Co. St. Louis". I'd never heard of Weis, and a google search turned up nothing other than this one paragraph: John Pierre Weis . . . immigrated to St. Louis, Missouri, in 1874. John was a pioneer safe manufacturer and head of Weis Safe Company, 909 Market Street, for 40 years. His son Ernest took over when John retired around 1914. I'm not concerned about value, but would like some idea of its age; and would appreciate any light you can shed on Weis Safe & Lock. Dimensions are roughly 44" high x 30" wide x 26" deep.
