Hi Ken;

I was wondering (hoping) if you would jump in, although I confess I missed you at the time. My bad, as our son would say.
I've read through alot of this forum and have been impressed with your sage and concise advice. So yes, there IS alot of noise, and yes, it IS useless to me! I keep trying to visualize the mechanics, but having not seen the insides before, come up with porridge. I guess I bought into that myth, not surprising I suppose.
I'm taking baby steps and so far, with some pictures and help, figure it's a CARY (even though it has a (uncommon?) Yale wheel pack), and has no relocker. But, it may have a gear drive, so that might mean it's NOT manipulatable(?) At least, probably not by me (Miller notwithstanding). Maybe I should inherit a simpler safe to start. Oh well.
Anyway, thanxs for your words of encouragement Ken.

Regards.....Bill
