Keep in mind that your safe was designed to keep people out unless they
knew the correct combination. It wouldn't be much of a safe if an untrained
person with a stethoscope could simply dial it open. As to cutting it open, it
might not be so easy either, and even if you are successful, odds are you
won't be able to use it as a safe when you're finished.

I understand your dilemma about the opening fee being more than the safe
is worth. It's a common problem. But please realize that the time, effort,
and skill involved in opening your safe professionally bears no relationship to
your safe's value. It's not unlike paying your mechanic to fix up an old car:
you could easily spend more than the car is worth.
