Brooklyn First Question Yes the brass can be plated. Second Can't help with the serial but since you sound determined to "mess" with the lock, I would look for the wheels not aligning, due to wear or wheel walk. Both problems can be resolved best by a technician but if you really try you just might finger it out. There are other possible reasons for erratic openings but then I have to charge you. Doug |
