I was recently hired to remove a safe from a customers basement. The safe itself weighs about 1 tonne and says J and J Taylor on the dial, and has an established date of 1855. The case of this one is myserious. The woman who hired me to move the safe, built the house it was in 40 years ago with her husband, but has no recolection of this safe, and has no idea when it got there and only discovered it after his death when she was cleaning out his things years later. She hired 2 different safe experts to open it, and neither was successful. Ten years later she hired me to remove it from her basement, and said I could have it after I got it out. It sits in my shop, a good conversation piece, yet I'd llike to know what the hell is inside it, without destroying it......any ideas??????
