I would advise you to consider the overall investment, life of system, warranty and service you will get from any product you decide upon. Each manufacturer will highlight their features, suppress any issues.... so you have to learn as much about each as possible. You can get most of your access control through the lock cylinders, and not have to run an inch of wire. This is suitable for most doorways, and eliminates gutting out panic devices. The safe egress engineered into the doorway is preserved. Doors that must unlock remotely, or on a timer.... these would best be handled through powered panic hardware. Always maintain safe egress, and buy all your material wholesale from City Lock! KeyMark is dated, and I do not think they have a patent upgrade on that.... you can check with Medeco for patent expiration. Also, small format IC has way more failure than non-ic... the driver pins are an issue on many brands and types of SFIC. The size of your system will indicate what brand and type is most suitable. Medeco regular, non IC and MultiLock offer an extremely large MK capability. You chop it way down with interchangeable core, but INCREASE capability, if you go with Medeco Cliq, MultiLock Cliq Yale has Keymark because they are a sister company of Medeco. Arrow, Assa High Security Locks, Corbin, Medeco Russwin, Sargent, Simons-Voss, Yale and many more firms are part of the Assa-Abloy banner. Jeff Rosen
