Antique dealers who abhor any additional expenses such as moving, placement, opening, repairs, etcetera have traditionally avoided most of them except for a select few types. (Read: small, ornate, easily movable).

Antiques Road Show, for example, is lost at sea when it comes to valuing a big heavy antique safe.

Some people see them as iron, some bid competitively for them.

Start high if you're selling. You can always come down; harder to go up when you start low.
