Came across a Cary Safe, more interesting than most, has a built in money chest in the upper left, with 4 large safty deposit boxes on the right of it, and 20 smaller safty deposit boxes below. The very bottom has a 2 door latch area with lots of storage. Any idea on age? 1920? earlier? pat date on lock 1905, how unique is this one? sure is heavy!! Everything is in excellent condition, I love all the safty deposit boxes, because it's a single lock, with a guard key/opener key combo. All interior removable boxes are there. One thing, the outer dial was replaced with something newer, origianl wheel's, and shaft, just the dial was changed out. IF ANYONE has a extra cary dial they'd sell me, let me know. btanders@juno.com. Also the bottow double door interior is missing the lock. Will have dem next time, any help would be great. May have to make some alterations to fit a different lock on that, but would prefer not to. |
