My Grandparents owned this safe, and I have moved it to my home. I know the combination, and it opens fine. My question is about maintenance and/or restoration. Can anyone advise if maintenance is called for, or if restoration would be a mistake? It is a Diebold model with 3312 and 1667771 engraved on the ball of the handle. Could anyone reccomend a professional in Northern New Jersey for me to contact for at least servicing of the mechanism. Value is not my concern as it has been in the family for many years, I just want to be sure I do nothing to prevent it from remaining that way. |
