Don: This sounds a lot like a Hermann safe that I just got. They were made in S.F. The opening lever on mine is a 4-spoked cross of 5" spokes. When the handle is turned it rotates the edge of the door to engage the locking lugs. It's not an art piece, but I'm going to have fun cleaning it up. Stan |
