Hi Doug: I checked the "Lure of the Lock" and found the pics of the Holmes Desgin vaults. Although they are not named in the book at least one looks very much like the Remington Sherman Holmes Design vaults I have seen. I'm sure Holmes also made vaults for other makers as well, I believe I have pics of at least one or two. A pic similar to the approximately four foot thick vault door I've seen (and much later was able remove the locks, dial, spindles and timelock from during a building refurbish) is also in the book on page 228. I'm not sure of and never heard that the HHM merger included Farrel & Co. Where did you get that info Doug? Dave |
