Hi Glen, I actually have one size #3. I believe that's what yours is. I haven't found out too much info but haven't pursued it much. Here's a link to a site overseas and there are many collectors of English locks and safes. They should be able to give you more info. I DID find out if the corners are square..as opposed to round. That dates it before 1890....I think that's what I remembered. And since the John Port Safe uses patent designs off other safes....that would put it after 1870......I do need to follow up on it....just haven't had time. Good luck. Let me know what you find out. I think my safe weighs 4CWT, 2Qtr, 1 stone....roughly 518 pounds...(obviously English weight from a catalog) Email me a picture if possible...will do the same....Thanks
