Elmer J. Howard has been a Tool & Die Machinist for 19 years. He started Locksmithing in 1985. In 1987 he started his safe work career by going to Lockmasters in Kentucky for his safe education. In 1990 Elmer became a safe technician, traveling the country opening safes, gathering any and all information possible as well as getting certified by all the various safe companies.

Compiling all this information led him to write his first book, titled "The Howard Digest of Electronic Safe Locks". The book covers Amsec, LaGard, S&G, Vindicator and Mas-Hamilton. The book shows how to troubleshoot the different kinds of electronic safe locks, how to change combinations and the secrets learned only by doing the warranty work for these companies.

Watching many locksmiths and safemen manipulate Sentry safes and the time it took led Elmer to the beginning of a new research field. With 100's of hours of research on all the different Sentry safes, this second book was written.

With this manual Elmer has opened many Sentry safes in less than 60 seconds. He has opened Sentry safes 2 states away on the telephone by directing the person on the other end of the line with these methods. Once this book is read anyone can do the same thing.

The manual has been updated approximately 10 times and will continue to grow as any new information is received. The earlier editions of this manual have been sold to locksmiths as far away as Australia and foreign countries on the other side of the globe.
